Many-many years ago I happened to lay my hand on this English language book that went on to captivate me for days afterwards.

The significance is this, as the first English book I read, it opened doors and paved the way to the enjoyment of reading. And it still is.

The book was The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy.

I remember reading with rapt attention the adventures of Sir Percy Blakeney and his friends.

It was a long time ago. And although I knew there were many more books recounting his adventures, I never get to obtain them.

But now, thanks to the wonderful world of Digital Life, I managed to purchase this delighful little Android app.

The title? The Complete Scarlet Pimpernel Collection.

I’m expecting to spend many nights immersing myself in this entertaining bedtime reading.
